Big News and Bigger News
So...this picture was taken as an "announcement" that we were expecting. We now know that we should have painted "TO TWINS" underneath!! Emma is not only going to be a big sister to one sweet new baby but TWO! Ahh! Matt and I are still pretty much in shock but are very excited as well. Emma has been getting more and more independent these and days and I have no doubt that ready to take on the role of big sister and mama's helper.

St. Kitts
Here are some pictures from our trip. We had an amazing time. Emma had a blast, but I swear her favorite part of the trip was riding the buses. Everyday we heard "ride the bus please". Next time, we'll leave her in Chicago so she can ride buses while we soak up the sun :)
Em on the plane. The pillow and binky were definitely wishful thinking. Even though we woke her up at 3 am to leave for the airport, Emma stayed bright eyed and bushy tailed until we pulled into the hotel parking lot 9 hours later. Lucky for us she was in a pretty good mood. Not so lucky for the people sitting in front of us on the plane, Emma's feet didn't stop moving.

Simple Pleasures...
There are lots of reasons that I love staying home with Emma. We make our own schedule. We get to decide what time to get up, when to get dressed, and how to spend each minute of our day. Some days we stay in our pj s until nap time and sometimes we're out the door by 8... not to return until it's time to put her in the crib to crash. Now that Emma is getting older, I find that I'm enjoying our time together more and more. One of our most recent favorites is baking. Emma is quite the little helper and loves pouring the flour in scoop by scoop. Another great thing about baking...Emma asks for a "taste" about every two minutes so I get to sneak in some extra calories. Well, calories and just a wee bit of raw egg. We all survived right?!
