Ooops, I've been a bit neglectful of the blog lately. Here's a few pics from Halloween and our trip to Hilton Head.

Simple Pleasures...

There are lots of reasons that I love staying home with Emma. We make our own schedule. We get to decide what time to get up, when to get dressed, and how to spend each minute of our day. Some days we stay in our pj s until nap time and sometimes we're out the door by 8... not to return until it's time to put her in the crib to crash. Now that Emma is getting older, I find that I'm enjoying our time together more and more. One of our most recent favorites is baking. Emma is quite the little helper and loves pouring the flour in scoop by scoop. Another great thing about baking...Emma asks for a "taste" about every two minutes so I get to sneak in some extra calories. Well, calories and just a wee bit of raw egg. We all survived right?!

This past Sunday, we spent some time at the dog beach with Chris, Kristin, and their dog Bell. Not exactly beach attire, but Em had a blast showing off her tutu and new rain boots.

It was a sad day, but we had to say goodbye to Em's beloved tail. Here's a picture of the tail in all its glory.

Still no pictures of our new place.  As luck would have it, as soon as we were all settled and unpacked, our camera broke.  Hopefully it'll be back up and running soon so we can take some pictures.  

Here are a few that we were able to get while the camera was still working.

     4th of July parade in Evanston.  Unfortunately it was a cold and rainy day.  Em and Miles were watching from inside for a bit to dry off.

Been Awhile...

Yea!  Our internet is finally back up and running!  Our move went well and we are love, love, loving our new place!  Emma adjusted quickly and loves spending time outside in the courtyard with her little buddy, Miles, who lives right across from us.  The "To-Do" list is long today but I wanted to post some quick pics.  More soon!

Starting Over

Hello all!  During the bleary-eyed days of Emma's first week home, Matt started a blog to keep everyone in the know.  Well, we should have done more research, because the blog site that we were using required an annual fee and it is now expired.  Wah Wah.  

So, here we are, starting all over again so we can save ourselves the cash.  Welcome to our new blog and please bear with me while I figure out the new format.  Hopefully it won't take long!  : )
